Hockey in Pakistan and Pakistan Hockey Achievement

 Pakistan has a great history in hockey. In most of the cities in Pakistan hockey is played with proper sprit, and most of the player in local cities wants a good career for being a team player of Pakistan hockey.

Formation of Pakistan Hockey:

Pakistan hockey is formed in 1948 after separated from India. Pakistan has made Pakistan hockey federation in 1948 for men’s and be a part of international hockey federation. Pakistan has played his first match against Belgium winning the game with the scour 2-1 in Landon Olympics.

For the first time in the history Pakistan has participated in any Olympics. Pakistan has a great track record in hockey when Pakistan is a part of Asian Hockey Federation which was formed in 1958.

National Sport:

Hockey is Pakistan’s national sport and we have a golden era in hockey win a lot of wining of World Cup, Asia Cup, Asian Games Medal’s and Olympics Medal’s. Pakistan hockey is a well known sport because players play with a lot of sprit and play a vital role in Pakistan Hockey history.

But our national in now a day’s is in a bit trouble of funding issues lack of Hockey grounds and other more Budget problems. Our national sport is going down day by day.

Pakistan Hockey World Cup History:

Pakistan has a good track record in hockey history. Pakistani player's are always on strike first on the board. They defeat their rival India in 3 to 4 finals of the Cup's and steel victory from them.

Pakistan field hockey players are known and Green shirts green Machine. Here is the World cup winning record of Pakistan Field Hockey won in previous:

Ø Pakistan won his first ever world cup in 1971.

Ø The second one is in 1974.

Ø The third one is in 1978.

Ø  The fourth one is in 1994.

Olympics Wining:

Pakistan field Hockey is on the peak players have ambition and aim to the winning of the games they played brilliant innings in most of the Olympics and light's up their country name in all over the world. Issues in Pakistan Hockey:

Pakistan men’s hockey is in much trouble in current situation. There are a lot of issues that are responsible for downward of Pakistan Hockey. The corrupt political persons who are not promoting and not encouraging hockey player's they want their resources on every department and also some Government issues.

They are not focusing on their National game. Some poor strategies are also responsible of Pakistan Field Hockey Federation. Budget issue most of the time PHF has not received budget for their expenses. In last some years players are not receiving their outgoing TADA so that’s why Pakistan Hockey is in last Stage.

 

Stadiums of Hockey:

Pakistan hockey stadiums are so beautiful and most attractive in history of Stadiums. We have a lot of stadiums for practicing and enjoying the game but if Government and other departments are not taking efforts young players have lack of interest in Pakistan Hockey.

They prefer job except to become a hockey player. Some good looking Pakistan’s Hockey Stadiums are as under:

History of Hockey:

Overall hockey game is bought by the British serviceman to British India. As like Cricket very soon it becomes the most popular game in Asia and other countries. When Pakistan came into being in 1947 after the Pakistan Hockey Federation is build in 1948 after that hockey will becomes Pakistan National Sport.

For the first time when Pakistan Hockey team came in being Pakistan has participated in a tournament that was held in Spain in 1950.

In this tournament made to qualify in to the finals and that was drawn with both of the team Pakistan and Netherland but the organizers decided to give victory to Pakistan and this was the first when Pakistan participate in an tournament and ended up winning the final.

After that Pakistan appeared as the best team of hockey in the world. Go further Pakistan started hosting team’s tour in Asia most of the countries are tour in Pakistan and enjoying a game of Hockey.

Present Era 2021-Present:

Pakistan has announced that PHF is Participate in Asian Champion Trophy. After a long gap of two years Pakistan Hockey has made his first appearance in Champion Trophy. PHF has selected a 20 men’s squad for Asian Champion Trophy.

Unfortunately Pakistan has not qualify for the world cup 2023 because despite it is a game of 16-teams.

Current Pakistan Hockey Team:

Pakistan men’s field hockey playing eleven that is currently selected and in practice are so talented. Few of them are experienced player and they encourage team to work hard and prove you. Currently Pakistan Hockey Team captian is Mr. Muhammad Umar Bhutta.

Overview:

To promote our national game Hockey in our home town and cities. PHF should take some steps organize some tournaments of hockey in cities and give a chance to the young talent as like PSL (Pakistan Super League) we have a lot of talented player in hockey they are not selected due to our system and some bad policies.
